Casa del Mesquite Anoso is a colonial jewel nestled in the heart of the historic Centro on Calle Terraplen, just 3.5 level blocks from the Jardin.
Beautifully restored and appointed with fine art work, exquisite Mexican ceramics and lovely furnishings, Casa del Mesquite Anoso provides an elegant respite from the outside world, yet gives you easy access to all the amenities of San Miguel.

Casa del Mesquite Anoso is a harmonious blend of superb interior design and exquisite architecture including a gracious indoor living and dining room with wood-beamed ceiling and outstanding cantera stone fireplace.
Outdoor living and dining can be enjoyed on either the elegant ground-floor garden courtyard with a lovely fountain or on the spacious covered terrace on the second floor.
The ambiance of this terrace encourages afternoon siestas and margaritas before dinner! The rooftop sitting area, one level higher up from the covered terrace, offers broad vistas of the historic district and the countryside beyond - the perfect place to experience the spectacular sunsets in this magical colonial town.
The two main guest rooms -- the upstairs master with king bed and en-suite bathroom, and the lower-level bedroom with queen bed and en-suite bathroom -- are set apart from each other on different floors and are perfect for two couples or one couple who like to have family or friends visit during a longer stay.
A third bedroom, also with queen bed, has access to a bathroom down the hall, which is entered from the covered terrace.
All bedrooms have stone fireplaces, and the two upstairs ones have individual heating/cooling units for use both summer and winter. The downstairs guest room is naturally cool in the evenings, although it does have a ceiling fan.
Located off the lovely entry vestibule, the kitchen with stunning handcrafted artisan tiles has every convenience. It is fully stocked with cookware and appliances, plus dinnerware/glassware for gracious dining.
The home features satellite TV with U.S. stations in the living room, as well as in both bedrooms, and a DVD player with a full film library. A comprehensive sound system allows you to enjoy music throughout the house and there is an extensive collection of music CDs from which to choose. The house also has wi/fi throughout.
A Mexican phone is available for local calls, and this same phone has international service that allows you to call the U.S. and Canada at no additional charge.
Casa del Mesquite Anoso offers additional special amenities, including spa robes for each guest, good quality sheets, and a hair dryer in each bathroom. Consider this your home away from home.
During your stay at Casa del Mesquite Anoso, you will be well cared for six days a week by Alicia, the wonderful housekeeper of the home for more than 10 years. Alicia can cook breakfast for you Monday through Saturday (her breakfast services are included, but you pay extra for the actual food), and she can also prepare delicious guacamole for an afternoon snack. Please note: Other than breakfast and snacks, Alicia is not able to prepare comida or other meals.
The main city park, Parque Juarez, is conveniently located two blocks away. A guarded pay parking lot is also just down the street on Calle Recreo.
Although this is an adult home, perfect for two couples, the owner will consider rentals to families with children over age 12.
NOTE: This house rents by the week only. Thus, a monthly rental would be 4x the weekly price.
