After an unusually cold winter here, spring has arrived in full force. The days now range in the low to mid-80’s F (28-30 C), with nights pleasantly cool in the 50’s F (10-12 C). The Jacaranda trees are in full bloom, and from the Mirador outlook one can see great swaths of the purple blossoms scattered throughout the town. Ice cream vendors are selling their many flavors of helado in the Jardin as restaurants move their tables and chairs outside. In the countryside, the mesquite and huizache trees are showing their new green leaves adorned with great poufs of yellow blossoms.
